If we are to be truly successful in our personal qualities we also need to develop the strength of character to be model citizens or good leaders as well as possess the personal depth to be a creative force both personally and in the community. We have to be powerful and emotionally aware as males in our relationships and we need the dedication to be mentors to adolescent boys. In business, we are faced with so many choices on how, when, where and how much money to spend. We have to know our market and our customers market, as well as our competitors. And then, at the end of the month a quarter of our customers actually pay us on time and the rest threaten to purchase their products elsewhere if we ask them for our money. Knowing all we do, ultimately translates into the information that eventually determines our financial success or lack of it. In a small to medium sized business, every decision counts. There are no fat budgets to rely on or other departments that we can blame for our losses. If we make a bad choice it costs us a great deal of money. If we make a few bad choices it may cost us our company and everything we have worked so hard to accomplish. In business, finding people we can trust and rely on becomes essential, to our success.
